Would Lennie and george be able to survive without eachother.

I believe that if the guys split up Lennie would not be able to survive without being in trouble, and trouble could survive, but he wouldn't be as happy. They provide a sense of security for each other. With george constantly by his side, Lennie Knows that he has someone to watch out for him. With Lennie around George knows that he has someone to depend and look up to him. They have been around each other  for so long that being apart was not a real option for a very long time. I don't even beleive the story would have been as good if the two of them and split up.
